INTER SET FOR TOUGH TEST

Inter Milan are set for a tough test this weekend in the form of the match against Roma.              The club are currently fourth in the Italian Serie A table, but they have fallen behind the leaders Juventus and Napoli in recent weeks. The team has managed just two victories in the last five matches, which has been the reason for their slight dip in the table. They will be coming up against a Roma team, who have also been on a poor run of form recently after three defeats in the last four matches, during the weekend. The Inter Milan defender Cristian Chivu feels that his teammates are ready for the encounter.

Inter Milan have a six-point advantage over Roma and Chivu is extremely confident that the team can get three points from this encounter. He has spoken about the tactics adopted by Roma under their new manager Zdenek Zeman. Chivu has said that Inter Milan need to be aware of the spaces left by the attackers, which are exploited well by Roma. Psychologically, Inter Milan will have a disadvantage in the match after they have suffered at the hands of Roma earlier in the season. They were beaten 3-1 by Roma in the reverse fixture.

“We are going to Rome to win this game because it is essential that we bag the full three points. They are a team in good shape, but we want to climb as high as possible. Roma are not easy to beat. They attack the spaces and get in behind you. They have players who always seem to find the right pass at the right time,” said Cristian Chivu, who recently extended his contract with the Italian club. His future was under a cloud of doubt only recently, but he has been able to agree to a new contract.
